2) What is the definition of an influencer?
a person who has become well known through regular social media posts and is able to promote a product or service by recommending or using it online.

3) Give an example of an influencer and how many followers they have. Try and add some additional information, brand associations or other statistics if you can.

KSI- English influencer with 16.8 million subscribers on Youtube, 12.9 Million followers on Instagram, 12.2 million on Tiktok, and 6.8 million on X (Twitter.)

Brands- Prime, Lunchly, XIX Vodka.

4) How big is the influencer industry according to the article?
Very. By the end of 2019, the influencer marketing industry was worth some $8 billion a year. One recent report by Insider Intelligence predicted that it would grow to $15bn globally by the end of 2022. 

5) What are the problems associated with being an influencer?

Mental health problems, finance problems and ethical problems. Some influencers are bad people who make fake 
promises to their audience or do harmful things which might encourage others to do the same thing.

6) Why is it suggested that audiences actually like being sold products by influencers?

Because they often build para-social relationships based on trust and a sense of authenticity

7) What representation of beauty is often found on Instagram or other influencer sites?

An 'Instagram Face'

8) What is YOUR opinion on influencers? Are they a positive or negative influence on our society and culture? Why?

In my opinion, influencers is not a good yet bad thing as it can sometimes be beneficial to some people and have a pretty big positive impact. However some influencers can lie to their audiences for money and fame with fake promises and scamming , which can cause a dilemma to many.
